SOMERVILLE SENIORS CELEBRATE 17TH ANNIVERSARY OF OLDER AMERICANS MONTH

Over one hundred seniors celebrated the 17th Anniversary of Older Americans Month at Somerville’s Winter Hill Yacht Club this past Monday.
There were raffles, music and good food while the City of Somerville, Somerville COA and the members of the Winter Hill Yacht Club said thank you to the seniors for doing everything that they did back then and still do today for us to have and celebrate today, our freedom.
Director Cindy Hickey, her staff, Commissioner of Health and Human Services Department for the City of Somerville Doug Cress, Somerville Community Police Officer Maryanne Manfra and the good members of the Winter Hill Yacht Club who all volunteered to help out for the day were in attendance at the event to show their appreciation to the seniors.
