Dear Somerville Speak Up Line,
Apparently the good Mayor is not telling us all the facts regarding the Somerville Sanctuary City status and the resolution that was cut loose in 1989
Why doesn’t the administration show Mayor Gene Brune’s signature and stipulation on the 1987 original resolution that stated this resolution shall no longer be in effect after Mayor Brune’s term ends, which actually ended on Dec 31st 1989? Conveniently the administration left that document out!
Somerville’s sanctuary city status is just a big bluff:

It’s concerning to see the lack of transparency around Mayor Curtatone’s statements on Sanctuary City status, especially regarding the implications of Mayor Gene Brune’s original resolution. The fact that the administration hasn’t addressed the stipulation that the resolution would end with Mayor Brune’s term raises questions about accountability. It’s important for residents to have access to all relevant documents so they can fully understand the city’s position. This reminds me of the need for clarity in local governance, which is something I also value in the gaming community I engage with at Apostate Verity.
This isn’t a Bluff, it’s dirty politics and unlawful rhetoric – almost as bad as Criminally promoting a DumoKrazy in a Republic and in violation of The Constitution especially at Article IV Section 4…
