Attend Mass Hysteria to Help Feed Pets and People:Beer and Taco Event will Support the New Somerville Pet Food Bank

SOMERVILLE, Mass. — Thursday March 9th 7-10 pm Once Ballroom 156 Highland Ave, Somerville MA 02143
Pet lovers can attend an event to support a new initiative in Somerville that is seeking to fight hunger in both people and pets. Mass Hysteria: A Local Beer and Taco Fiesta will raise funds for the new Somerville Pet Food Bank, which is opening this spring.
Run in partnership with the Somerville Homeless Coalition, the Somerville Pet Food Bank aims to keep pets well fed and with their families. People facing economic hardship have to make difficult decisions in regards to their pets. In some cases, they have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets. In other situations, they have to surrender their pets to shelters or abandon them.
Mass Hysteria will provide the Somerville Pet Food Bank with essential funds as it begins operations. Organized by the Somerville Foundation for Animals which also runs the Somerville Dog Festival, the event will take place on Thursday, March 9 from 7 – 10 p.m. at Once Ballroom in Somerville. It will feature tastings from four local breweries, including Brazo Fuerte Artisanal Beer in Watertown, Bone Up Brewing Company in Everett, Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company in Framingham and Lamplighter Brewing Company in Cambridge, tacos from Cuisine En Locale, as well as a silent auction and entertainment.
