Somerville’s Snow Emergency Will End at 6:00a.m. on Friday, February 10th

Somerville’s snow emergency will end at 6 a.m. on Friday, February 10, and normal parking rules will go back into effect at that time. Vehicles parked in municipal lots must be moved within two hours of the end of a snow emergency. Vehicles still in municipals lots after 8 a.m. on Friday may be subject to ticketing and towing.
When clearing off your vehicle, please make sure your parking permit is visible. Permits must be visible within 24 hours and cars must be fully clear of snow within 48 hours of the end of the emergency to avoid ticketing. Please clear permits by 6 a.m. Saturday and clear vehicles by 6 a.m. Sunday.
Property owners are reminded that after any snowfall they have 6 daylight hours after snow ends to clear their sidewalks of snow and ice or you may be ticketed. Please clear a pathway on your sidewalk by 1 p.m. on Friday that is at least 36-inches wide to allow safe passage for all.
Somerville Public Schools will remain closed Friday. City offices will be open during normal Friday business hours. Somerville Public Library (MA) and Somerville Council on Aging will be open on a delayed schedule. Please call or check their Facebook pages to confirm they are open. Afternoon and evening activities will go on as scheduled.
