WHITE, William “Jack” 84 years of Nahant died Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Memorial Hospital in Bedford, MA after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Fredericks) White. He was employed as a Somerville Police Officer and Detective, serving for over 30 years. He is survived by his children, John J. White and his wife Maura of Swampscott, Fred White and his wife Marcia of Lynn, William White and his wife Elaine of Nahant, Joanne Mitza and her husband Joseph of Burlington, Cynthia White of Nahant, Jacqueline White of Nahant, Patricia “Patty” White of Burlington, and the late Maryanne “Maya” White Barresi. He also leaves 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is the brother of the late Marie “Rere” Crowe. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Solimine Funeral Home, 67 Ocean Street (Rte. 1A) LYNN. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nahant.
