On the evening of Thursday, March 17, 2016, I was assigned to marked unit East 3. I was dispatched along with E-2 Officer Soares to Stone Avenue for a report of someone causing damage to a gate. Upon our arrival, we were met by the reporting party XXXXX.

 

     XXXXX stated that he had witnessed a black male yelling as he was pulling on a wooden security gate. When XXXXX told the male to stop, the male identified as Edward Grafton tore the wooden arm off and said to XXXXX “I’ll burn you alive.”

 

     XXXXX was able to provide a cell phone picture of the suspect. It was at this point Officer Soares and I searched the Union Square area. Mr. Tarencz was located in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts.

 

     Mr. Tarencz was placed in to custody and transported to the Somerville Police Station via Unit #200, where he was booked in the usual manner by the shift Sergeant D. Deoliveira
