This past Sunday January 3rd, the 2016 Inaugural Committee was pleased to host the swearing in ceremony for the Mayor, City Council and School Committee members in the Marsha Caron Theater at Medford High School.
The ceremony was followed by refreshments and entertainment and all residents were encouraged to attend this free event.

“I’m looking forward to a special day. As we start the new year and new administration, I hope this day serves as the starting point for what will be a collaborative and inclusive working relationship among all our elected officials,” said Mayor-Elect Stephanie M. Burke. “We have new members of both the City Council and School Committee being sworn into office and I know this is a very exciting day for them, their families and friends.”
New City Council members included John Falco and George Scarpelli, in addition to previously serving members, Richard Caraviello, Frederick N. Dello Russo, Jr., Adam Knight, Breanna Lungo-Koehn and Michael J. Marks.
The School Committee also ushered in two new members, Mea Quinn and Kathleen Kreatz, as well as returning members, Ann Marie Cugno, Erin DiBenedetto, Robert E. Skerry, Jr. and Paulette Van der Kloot.
The Committee was asking those attending the ceremony to please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry.
