HELP US REACH OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL!

Please join us THIS FRIDAY (December 11th) for our fourth in a series of benefit concerts to help us raise the funds to soundproof our Performance Hall. This show will feature Vapors of Morphine, The Weisstronauts, and David Johnston. Come celebrate these local musicians as we work towards our $50,000 fundraising goal.
Doors at 7pm.
Tickets will be $12 advance / $10 for students/seniors; or $15/$12 at the door. Get your advance tickets here.

VAPORS OF MORPHINE is Dana Colley (baritone sax), Jeremy Lyons (guitar), and Billy Conway (drums) along with Jerome Deupree (also on drums) and occasionally Jeff Allison (also on drums). The band was originally formed in 2009 to play a tribute concert to Morphine lead singer/ songwriter Mark Sandman and then decided to keep the ball rolling with this new lineup, which includes original members of Morphine. Much more than just a tribute band, Vapors of Morphine performs the “Low Rock” music of Morphine, also adding psychedelic renditions of African Blues, originals and obscure Rock and Delta Blues songs.

THE WEISSTRONAUTS are Pete Weiss, Kevin Quinn, Ken Lafler, Nathan Logus, Jeff Norcross. Sometimes Aaron Tap, George Hall, AJ Aubrey, Jeff Berlin, Marc Beaulieu, Neal Spaulding, Jim Gerdeman, and Doug Yule, too. They are a self-described “hard to categorize guitar-based instrumental rock. Think: twang, surf, spy, psychedelia, lounge, rock, semi-funk. Not necessarily in that order.”

DAVID JOHNSTON is a musician about town, found playing guitar everywhere from Harvard Square to Bull McCabe’s to Toad and beyond, often playing sessions with other local music scene favorites. David’s highly unique mix of “swampy delta blues, subtle jazz, Dylan-steeped folk, and far-out psychedelia” make him one of the “best kept secrets” around. His song “I Don’t Wanna Know” was recorded by Peter Wolf and achieved great success on the charts.
