Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone on Paris Terrorist Attack

Obviously greater Boston hasn’t seen anything like the scale of the tragedy in #Paris, but we know the hurt. Whenever I see news of a terrorist attack, my first thought is of Sean Collier and the terrible, senseless act that took his life. I know the anger, the sadness, the shock.

And then you see a scene like the one in the gathering in the streets of Paris below after the Charlie Hebdo attack. Decency ultimately prevails. As horrific as today has been, free societies will stand against the hatred that fueled these attacks. Doesn’t mean it hurts any less at moments like this, but the cure for inhumanity is humanity.
