Beautiful Food at Cross Street by Maureen Bastardi

There are so many beautiful things about Thailand. Just ask Chu Race, who is a native of that country and a weekly participant in the Cross Street Center’s English Conversation group. In Thailand, Chu explains, it’s common to see fruits and vegetables beautifully sculpted into flowers and art. People then use the creations decorations for plates, for their home, and in their food.

On Wednesday, October 28th, Ms. Race conducted an instructional workshop in this art. Participants were amazed that carrots, cucumbers, radish, and onions could look so pretty. The workshop was so well-received that Race will be conducting another one on Thursday, November 19th at 1 p.m.
