Two Somerville Police Officers Presented 2015 Alexander McQuestion Award

Congratulations to Somerville Police Officers Jean Jacques and Albert Gee for being the recipients of the 2015 Alexander McQuestion Award and Police Officers of the Year.
The Annual Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year Award is presented at the Annual Veterans Day Ball.
This year the Thomas Chethem Award was presented to Somerville Firefighter Jay McKenzie.

For the past 43 years at the Annual Veterans Day Ball, Somerville Post #19 has recognize a deserving Somerville Firefighter and Police Officer for performance above the normal call of duty.

The Thomas Chethem award for the firefighter and the Alexander McQuestion Award for the police officer represent the sole recognition of any veteran organization of the exceptional performance by our public safety personnel in this city.

Each year the Chiefs of the departments submit the names of the eligibles. They are reviewed by a post committee and a very difficult job of picking recipients are done.
