Demolition of the Quick Mart at the corner of Cedar St and Highland Ave will begin between Oct 7-14 according to the developer, Brent Berc of BREC LLC. There will also be some excavation to prepare for construction. If you have questions or concerns please call David Bemiss at 617-415-5145 or contact me. David lives in the neighborhood and will be overseeing the construction. The destruction of that hideously ugly cinder block building will be a great day for the neighborhood and Ward 5!!! I am looking forward to it being replaced with an attractive building with seven apartments (one affordable) and a storefront on the first floor.
