Daniel Spinosa, a lifelong Somerville resident who was born on Saint Patrick’s Day in 1922 on Tufts Street in Somerville. 

A disabled American Veteran who proudly served his country well during WWII in the South Pacific then returned to Somerville and married the love of his life, Mary Caruso in 1946.

Shape Up Somerville’s Mobile Farmers Market Is Here

  Have you checked out Shape Up Somerville’s Mobile Farmers Market yet? It just reopened for the 2015 season and is a great option for buying local, healthy, sustainable produce.

If you receive WIC or SNAP benefits, you get half off your purchase at the Mobile Market. Customers who pay full price help to subsidize the Mobile Market for their neighbors who need some help.

On Fridays you can find the Mobile Market at the Somerville Council on Aging (167 Holland St.) from 11am to …12:30pm and the Winter Hill Community Innovation School (115 Sycamore St.) from 1 to 2:30pm. On Saturdays the market is at the North Street Housing Development from 11am to 12:30pm and the Mystic Housing Development from 1 to 3pm.

The market runs through October 31 this year.
