Our team competed at the MIAA Eastern Mass Division 1 Track & Field Championship Meet on Saturday at Lowell’s Cawley Stadium (photos from Newton Sports attached)

Travis Dolcine, Carls Alphonse, Phillips Magre, Demar Chapman, Joao Baptista, CJ Felix, Shaquille Joseph, Ben & Jiovanny Pierre and Odmark & Imler Ozit qualified, scored 26 points, won 6 medals and placed 11th as a team at the MIAA Eastern Mass Division 1 Track & Field Championships on Saturday in Lowell. Odmark won the Triple Jump with a state best 46’8.75″. Joao placed 2nd in the High Jump at 6’4″, making them top contenders for their events in the MIAA All-State Championship Meet to be held this Saturday at Fitchburg State University. Also qualifying for the All-State meet were- teammates Carls Alphonse who placed 6th in the 100m/11:43, Imler Ozit-43’4″ & Shaquille Joseph-43’3″, who placed 7th & 8th in the Triple Jump. Ben Pierre won a 7th place medal in the 100m/11:67, following a fast preliminary race, which he won in 11:42. Joao placed 9th in the Long Jump-20’4.25″. Travis Dolcine placed 4th in the unseeded heat of the mile/ 4:40.98. 9th grader -Phillips Magre placed 11th in the 400m race- 51.59 and remains the fastest freshman in the state. Carls & Shaquille placed 12th and 15th in the 200m race at 23.50 & 24.02. Demar Chapman raced to a 16.62 time in the 110mHH race and the top 6 medal contending 4 x 100m relay team of Jiovanny Pierre, Ben Pierre, Demar Chapman & Carls Alphonse were leading going into the final pass but couldn’t complete the pass due to interference. Top 6 seed, CJ Felix, was unable to compete in the Long Jump due to injury.
