If you’ve found yourself walking around the Davis Square area wondering, “Hey, what’s the deal with” then you should come to the Ward 6 ResiStat Community meeting
on Thursday, April 30. There will be open Q&A with the Mayor and City staff, updates on neighborhood and citywide projects like the Social Security Building and the Green Line Extension, and a chance for you give your two cents on preferences for a public benefits agreement for Union Square. The meeting runs from 6:30 to 8pm, but stop by at 6 for pizza and other refreshments. The Ward 6 ResiStat meeting is being held in the offices of Velir (inside the Citizens Bank building in Davis Square) at 212 Elm St.

Check out below for more information, as well as the full schedule of this spring’s ResiStat meetings.

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone invites residents to the Spring 2015 ResiStat Community Meetings, a twice-yearly effort to share the latest City news and neighborhood updates directly with residents and gather their feedback.

Seven neighborhood meetings, one in each ward, will be held in the coming weeks. (See schedule below.) Mayor Curtatone, ward and at-large aldermen, members of the Somerville Police Department, and City staff will discuss issues important to residents and take their questions. Topics will range from crime and safety reports, neighborhood improvements such as road and park projects, to a review of citywide issues like the municipal budget and Union Square development.

Refreshments will be served at a meet-and-greet before each meeting, where residents can talk with City officials and their neighbors.
