Former SHS Track Athletes Score at NE Collegiate Championships

Two Former Somerville High Track Athletes scored at the New England Collegiate Track Championships this past weekend.
The meet was held at the Boston University Track Center.

Freshman Andre Rolim, running for American International College, placed third in the 800m with a time of 1:52.95. Andre’s time of 1:50.93 in the preliminary round qualified him for the NCAA Division 2 Championships. Nicole Genard, a junior Captain at Northeastern, placed 3rd in the 60m Hurdles, helping Northeastern to the team title for the second year in a row.

Nicole’s time of 8.70 in the semi finals qualified her for the ECAC Championship Meet. Both Andre and Nicole were multiple time State Champions while at Somerville High.
