Morrissey arrest age 26

On the evening of Saturday, January 17, 2015, I, was assigned marked unit East-1. At approximately 8:11 pm, I was dispatched to 77 Middlesex Ave, (K-Mart), for a report of a shoplifter.

Upon my arrival, I was met by the store’s security officer. He stated that he observed a female, later identified as, Ms. Erica Morrissey, via the store’s electronic monitoring system, concealing make-up in her black purse. When Ms. Morrissey was asked why she was taking the makeup, she replied that she did not have any money to pay for it. It was at this point, I had placed Ms. Morrissey in to custody for the crime of shoplifting.

At this point, a search of her purse was conducted to retrieve any items that were taken from the store, assorted make up items. As I was searching Ms. Morrissey’s purse, I observed three spoons with brown residue on them, a blue rubber elastic band, and 7 small yellow pills with the marking “34” on them. Ms. Morrissey was asked what the pills were, and she replied, Klonopin, a class “C” controlled substance. Ms. Morrissey was afforded the opportunity to prove that she had a valid prescription, she was not able to do so. The seven yellow pills will be entered in to evidence, and will be made available upon request. Ms. Morrissey was transported to Somerville Police Headquarters via unit #200, operated by Officer Soares.
