EVENT. The Somerville Allied Veterans Council will conduct its annual Veterans Day ceremonies at Dilboy Post in Davis Square, beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11. The public is invited.

NEWS. United States flags in Somerville were lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset this past Saturday, November 8, 2014, in honor of Petty Officer 1st Class Richard Charles Tucker II , 38, U.S. Navy, of South Easton, Massachusetts, who died on October 26, 2014.

EVENT. The Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center and the Bedford VA Community Recovery Connections Team will host a pizza social during the Patriots-Lions game at the center on November 23 beginning at noon. Pizza and beverages will be provided, and all veterans are invited. The center is located at 2 North Street, Somerville, at the corner of Broadway.
