As someone who benefited from public education from my first day of kindergarten until my college graduation, I know how important it is to have a good education system in a
community. My years in the Medford Public School System provided me with the skills needed to excel in our diverse, global 21st century society. With a solid education background, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where I attained a valuable, higher education.
I am thankful for the various opportunities that public education in Massachusetts has granted me and it would be my plan to fight to keep these opportunities available to all of the residents of the 34th Middlesex District. We have a rapidly growing society and I feel it is our duty to ensure that our school systems are keeping up with the best technologies and resources that we can offer. I strive for the school systems in both Somerville and Medford to have excellent facilities, technologies, and necessary staffing in order for our students to enhance their opportunities and improve their learning. I will also advocate for our higher education system. Many of the young people in the 34th Middlesex come from working class families that may struggle to afford the rising cost of college. By providing adequate funding and resources to our higher education system, we are investing in the young adults that will help our community thrive.
It is my intention to support all levels of education in Massachusetts and push to provide our students the highest level of education that we can offer. If any resident in the district has any questions on this issue, please feel free to contact me at NickLanzilli@gmail.com or call me at 781-475-9590.
