Cindy Snow Murphy, a longtime Somerville resident as well as a retired Somerville Fire fighter who was also one of Somerville’s first female firefighters on the job.

Snow Murphy, mother of two boys, with one of her sons who is also a Somerville firefighter here in the city is still very active and involved with the day to day saftey concerns of the city’s citizens and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Cindy is the wife of District Fire Chief Dennis Murphy of the Somerville fire department. The duo constantly devote their time to helping others here in the Ville.

After her retirement from the Somerville Fire Department, she received her bachelors degree in science and business and is now practicing law at her office in Davis Square.

The time spent as a Student Attorney at Suffolk Law School brought her deep satisfaction as well as invaluable experience. It reinforced her desire to fight for justice and gave her the preliminary tools she needed to continue down that road. She plans to expand on her experience in litigation, and build her skills to fight and bring relief to those that find themselves in situations that they can’t get out of themselves

Cindy is involved in many local charities in and around the city as well as being one of the organizers and sea captains of the Annual Somerville Veterans Cruise.

We here at the Somerville News Weekly salute you both for everything that you do to make Somerville a better place.

Congratulations!
