The Somerville Arts Council announces the Joe’s Jazz and Blues Festival call for talent

The brain child of Mayor Joe Curtatone, who played trumpet in the Somerville
High School Jazz Band, Joe’s Jazz and Blues Festival is back this year.

Starting up the week, the festival make its way through local music venues. Then on June 21st join us an all-day free concert at Powderhouse Park from noon to 6pm.

We are looking for amazing talent to perform at the city concerton the 21st at Powderhouse Park (raindate, 22nd).
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase yourunique jazz and blues sounds–we want everything from swampy Cajun to Ethiopian Jazz. Preference will be given to bands with a Somerville connection. Please note, if you have played in the past two years, we are only considering new applicants.
