On Monday, January 6, Mayor Curtatone was sworn in to his 6th term as Mayor of Somerville, making him Somerville’s longest… serving Mayor.

In his inaugural address, Mayor Curtatone cited the strong sense of community in Somerville and the creativity and passion of residents as driving factors behind major accomplishments like the Green Line Extension, Assembly Square, and a booming creative economy. He also asked residents to stay involved in accomplishing future goals, like creating affordable housing for middle-class families and becoming a greener city, and to keep helping to shape Somerville’s future.
