Narrative
This narrative is a summary of the events pertaining to Incident 13044412.

On 11/30/2013 at approximately 22:16, I, Officer Albert Gee in full uniform assigned to West 7 along with Officer Mark Nevin assigned to West 6 was dispatched to Broadway Apt for a family dispute. Officer Gravin Guillen and Cassandra Goncalves assigned to West 5 responded as well.

Upon arrival on the 4th floor the victim, was in the hall way standing in front of apartment . v was with her son and a Security guard. v said arrest him he punched me in the face. I observed a cut on v upper lip and I saw blood on her face, gown, and drops of blood on the rug in the hallway. Officers Guillen and Goncalves continued to speak to v while Officer Nevin and I entered the apartment.

I was greeted by Mr. Kokumo Ogunwumi. He was pacing back and forth and was appeared agitated. I asked him to sit down and explain to me what happened. Mr. Ogunwumi said he was upset his sister made multiple copies of his apartment key and he would get in trouble if the management found out. He said he wanted her to leave so he grabbed her belongings and tossed them in the hall. He said when he was throwing a suitcase out it hit her in the face and she got upset and hit his arms. I didn’t observe any injuries on Mr. Ogunwumi.

I returned to the hallway where I separated the two parties. I asked v what happened and she said she was in the living room and Mr. Ogunwumi ran out of his room and was upset that she didn’t make any food for him to eat. She said that was not her job and he got mad and punched her 3 or 4 times in the face.

I returned to the apartment and informed Mr. Ogunwumi he was under arrest for assault and battery, contacted the prisoner transport, he was transported to the Somerville Police Station and booked in the usual manner.

v was allowed to retrieve all her belongings, refused all medical treatment, and returned 3 keys to him. While v was removing items from the apartment, I spoke to v. son, . son said he heard but didn’t see his mother and his uncle fighting and he called the police. I will be filing a 51A and I have attached a photograph of v injuries.
