Obituary
James A. Roache – A lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was 74 years old.

Born in Boston and raised and educated in Somerville, he was the beloved son of the late James F. and Lorraine L. (Flores) Roache

Devoted brother of Kevin T. Roache and his wife Christina of Marshfield, Lorriane Watson of Wilmington, the late Mark Roache and the late Maureen Roache. Cherished uncle of Mark Watson, Robert Watson, Kevin Roache, Thomas Roache, and Christina Butler. Loving great uncle of Hannah, Ryan, Timmothy, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Mikey, Fiona, Gillian and Benjamin.

A funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville at 10:00AM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be held on Monday March 16th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
