Obituary
Marie (Boucher) Bolger, of Somerville, passed away on October 25, 2025. She was 71. Born and raised in Somerville, Marie was the daughter of the late Janet (Baril) and Robert Boucher. A graduate of Somerville High School, Marie went on to work in healthcare as a nursing aide before raising her family.
The beloved wife of the late David P. Bolger, she was the devoted mother of Brian Bolger and his wife Jeanne of Abington and Michelle O’Brien and her husband Michael of Norton. Cherished grandmother of Kelly, Robyn, Braeden, Jackson and Riley. Dear sister of Deborah Sullivan, Beverly McInerney, Mark Boucher, Karen Kenney all of Reading and the late Susan Boucher. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Marie will be remembered as a great cook, for her love of music and the beach, and was an avid fan of Stephen King and his novels. Above all Marie cherished time spent with her family and most especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Saturday, November 1st from 10AM to 11:30AM followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, East Spring Street, Avon at 1:15PM. Those attending are asked to meet inside the main gate.
