Obituary

Bobby Howard (Beau Paris), 73, of Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 1, 1952, in Opelika, Alabama, Bobby was the beloved son of the late Willie and Fannie Howard. He moved to Boston at the age of 10, where he later graduated from Brighton High School. From a young age, Bobby had a passion for music, which led him to perform with the Boston-based band The Ambitions before launching a solo career as Beau Paris. His voice, stage presence, and soul left a lasting mark on the local music scene and all who had the pleasure of hearing him sing.

Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Yvonne Howard of Andover, MA; his sons, Paul Davison and his wife Susan Lim of Belmont, MA, and Adam Davison and his wife Stephanie Davison of North Andover, MA. He was a proud grandfather to Kaylee, Cameron, Benjamin and Emilia. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Murdie Henderson of Boston, MA, Katie McCargo of Boston, MA, and Min. Willie Mae Howard of Williamsburg, VA, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Fannie Howard, and his siblings Ruth Dowdell, Charlie Howard, Mary Porter, Lillie Williams, and Arthur Howard.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Andover Country Club, Andover, MA from 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and The Home for Little Wanderers.

Bobby, known to many as Beau Paris, will be remembered for his warmth, his music, and the joy he brought to so many.
