Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,
These are photos of my son‘s car from last night. The rats got underneath the hood and ate his wires and belt. One of the rats in the photo is alive.
One is dead, probably from indigestion, but this piece of work of an absentee mayor that we have is not doing a thing about it. People cannot even go in their own backyards in fear of being overtaken by rats.
I know that if you were the mayor today the situation would’ve been solved just like you promised in your campaign speech when you ran for mayor.
It’s sad but people should’ve listened to you, but now they are suffering. Hopefully, you will run for mayor again.
Sincerely,
Another disgusted resident of Somerville

Alright, you’re not alone this has been going on in our neighborhood for 2 years now. Car wires not being able to enjoy the back yard. My grandchildren can’t even play outside!
