Somerville/Medford Remembering Rose Donna Caterino

ROSE’S OBITUARY

Rose Donna Caterino, Born April 27, 1930 to Antionette and Antonio Tuccelli in Wilmington, Massachusetts, passed from this world to eternity on August 10, 2023.

Rose married her husband Angelo Caterino in 1953. As someone growing up on acres of land and helping her parents farm that land, she had a bit of a culture shock when she moved to Somerville Avenue, across the street from Welch’s trucking company. Hard to imagine the 18 wheelers coming out onto Somerville Avenue with puffs of black smoke rising to the 3rd floor windows. Rose committed herself to getting trees planted on Somerville Avenue. She was always a trend setter. Rose, through mail order classes, became a Master Graphoanalyst. She worked from home and managed some high profile cases while continuing to take amazing care of her family. She loved reading and researching ideas and places. She never stopped learning. Rose leaves behind her daughters Marie Varrichione and Rachele Rose McDonough and her husband Kenneth Owen McDonough and her grandchildren, the Nah Nahs, Angelo Thomas McDonough and Gabrielle Marie McDonough, and Francesca Lauren Caterino; her sister Josephine Bianchi, and brothers Michael Tuccelli and Anthony Tuccelli and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She loved Jesus and we have every expectation that His first words to her when she saw Him face to face were “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00AM.
Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Rose’s name to The tree remember.
