On Wednesday July 12th, 2023, Somerville Police Department’s Community Outreach, Help & Recovery Unit (COHR) partnered with Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs (SOIA), to provide Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.

CPI teaches staff how to intervene in work place crisis situations with evidence based de-escalation techniques and safe, nonrestrictive interventions. Participants expand their decision-making skills to match the level of response to the risk of the crisis.
