Stephen Salipante, 65, passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2023. Stephen was born in Medford, Massachusetts on September 15, 1957. He lived at 30 Cherry Street.
He was the son of Alexander Salipante and Vita (LoPiccolo) Salipante. He attended the Medford Public Schools and the Immaculate Conception Church. Stephen was the 30-year loving companion to Brenda Jean Haver. Together they raised Brenda’s sons, Shawn and Robbie Haver in Florida. Shawn married Sarah and Stephen and Brenda eventually welcomed three wonderful grandchildren: Zachary, Nathan and Ashley. Stephen also left two sisters, Loretta Middleton and her husband, Robert Middleton of North Andover and Nantucket, Massachusetts and Franny Etna and her husband, Ralph Etna of Ipswich, Massachusetts and Carefree, Arizona. He had several nieces and nephews: Chenay Hampe, Todd Etna, Elizabeth,Christine and Robert Middleton. He also left four great nieces and nephews: Kaelin and Kyle Hampe, Morgan and Damian Etna. Stephen’s passion was music. He was an accomplished guitarist who played in two bands. In Massachusetts he was in a band called Ibis and in Florida he was lead guitarist in the band Cobalt Blue. He also co-ordinated sound equipment for touring bands when they performed in Orlando, Florida. Stephen had an Associates Degree from the Berklee School of Music in Boston. Stephen left this world on February 15th after a long illness. A private memorial service will be held by his family. He will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, Massachusetts.
