Della Peruta, Maria (Byron) — of Somerville, passed away after a long illness, on February 4, 2023.

Cherished daughter of the late Maria and Tancredi Byron. Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Luigi Della Peruta. Devoted mother of Dominic Della Peruta and Joseph Della Peruta. Caring sister of Catherine Salinas and her husband John Quigley and the late Alan Salinas, the late Alexander Byron and his late wife Kay, the late Bruno Bryon, the late Vincenzo Bryon and his late wife Ethel. Dear sister-in-law of the late Giuseppe Della Peruta and his late wife Maria Teresa, and the late Angelo Della Peruta and his late wife Maria. Devoted daughter-in-law of the late Domenico and Finella Della Peruta. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Thursday, February 9th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine Of Genoa Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Maria’s name to St. Francis Chapel Boston. Any masses offered for Maria and Luigi Della Peruta would also greatly be appreciated.
