All members of the community are invited to a ceremony for the anniversary of the nation’s first official flag raised atop Prospect Hill on New Year’s Day in 1776.
This event will take place on Sunday, January 1. A processional that all are welcome to join will leave from the City Hall Concourse (93 Highland Ave.) at 11:30 a.m., followed by a ceremony at Prospect Hill Park (68 Munroe St.) from 12 to 1 p.m.
Light refreshments will be offered. Learn more and make your own colonial garb.
