Robbery of USPS Letter Carrier

Melrose, MA – On Saturday, December 10, 2022, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a USPS letter carrier was delivering mail in the vicinity of Orchard Lane when they were approached by two armed suspects. The suspects robbed the letter carrier before fleeing on foot.

This case is being investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Melrose Police Department. The
U.S. Postal Inspection Service takes the safety of USPS employees seriously. In this offense, the suspects
brandished weapons. Armed robbery of a USPS employee is a federal offence punishable by up to 25 years in
prison.
A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this case. Anyone with information is urged to call 1-877-876-2455, say “law enforcement”, and reference Case No. 3927109. All information will be kept confidential.
