Somerville to Observe Transgender Day of Remembrance, Tuesday, November 22

SOMERVILLE – Join Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, the Somerville Department of Health and Human Services, and the Somerville High School Gender and Sexuality Awareness Alliance (GSAA) on Tuesday, November 22, at 3 p.m. for a Transgender Day of Remembrance ceremony and flag raising in honor of those who have lost their lives to violence.

The ceremony will take place on the City Hall concourse, 93 Highland Avenue. Scheduled speakers include Mayor Ballantyne and Pastor Jordan Harris of Connexion United Methodist Church, remarks will be followed by raising the Transgender Pride Flag.
