Margaret (Peggy) T. Brennan, lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Nov.9 at home with family at her side.
Daughter of the late Richard A. and Margaret C. (Hartnett) Brennan. Sister of the late Ellen M. McGuiness (Edward), William J. Brennan (Virginia) and twin brother Richard Brennan.
Peggy graduated from Somerville High School, Class of 1945 and after working at Filene’s began her 40 year career with the Somerville School Department first in the High School Office, later becoming the Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools.
Loving Aunt to Anne and David Pearson, James McGuiness, Joan and Joseph Santarelli, Katie and Brad Johnson, Patty and Dan Sullivan, Michael McGuiness, Latavia Moore, Cathleen “Cat” Patterelli, Kerry Racculia, Megan and Geoffrey Graham, Amy Brennan, Janet Rutan and Janis McGuiness. She was predeceased by her nephew William McGuiness. She was the proud Grand Aunt of 19, and Great Grand Aunt of 8.
Calling hours Wednesday morning, 9:00-10:30. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Wednesday morning November 16, 2022 at 10:30, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Catherine’s Church, Somerville at 11:00.

Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
