Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line: ONCE AGAIN! ALL BUS RIDERS MATTER!

Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

The MBTA 1:00 pm Oct.6th Meeting at Clarendon Hill Towers is an excellent time for Retired Seniors, etc. and they are, of course, anxiously awaiting this meeting…but what about The Workers, The Stop & Shop Employees,The Highschool and College Students and EVERYBODY ELSE who depends upon the #87,88,89 and 80 buses…they’ll all be at work or at school!…This certainly makes attendance extremely difficult. 6:00pm is actually the best all around time for Clarendon Hill Towers so as many people as possible would be able to attend…but this obvious fact wasn’t taken into consideration.

It just seems that with both the mayor and The MBTA, “the obvious” just slips through the cracks.

Perhaps the mayor and the MBTA could arrange an additional meeting on another day as well. The ideal location and time would be outside City Hall at 6:00pm
which would afford the rest of the population, who are not retired Seniors, and who are unable to attend afternoon meetings, to be heard. Unless, maybe, the Mayor and the MBTA doesn’t really want to be witness to the in-person loud cries of OPPOSITION from ALL BUS RIDERS!
