The City of Somerville is hiring polling place workers for the upcoming 2022 election cycle. Hundreds of poll workers will be needed this year to conduct a successful election. Here are the basics:

Ideally, poll workers will commit to both election days: Tuesday, September 6, and Tuesday, November 8.

Each workday starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends after the polls close at 8 p.m., with a two-hour break.

Poll workers earn between $200 and $265 per day, depending on their responsibilities.

Interested? Register to attend an information session on Thursday, July 28, at City Hall (93 Highland Ave.) at 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. If you can’t make an information session but would like to learn more, please call the Elections Office at 617-625-6600 ext. 4200.
