On Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 5:11 P.M., I observed a black Subaru bearing Massachusetts registration XXXX fail to stop at a red at the intersection of McGrath Hwy and Broadway.

I activated my emergency equipment and stopped the vehicle on McGrath Hwy. I approached the operator, requested his license and registration informed him of the reason for the stop. The operator, later identified as Michael GUEVAREZ gave me a copy of his license and stated that he did not have the registration.

I asked Somerville Police control to query GUEVAREZ’s information to confirm his license status and was informed that he had an outstanding warrant out of Londonderry NH for possession of a controlled substance. At this time, Officer Ribeiro and Detective Thermidor responded as backup.

I placed GUEVAREZ under arrest for fugitive from justice c.276 S20A. He was transported to the Somerville Police headquarters in unit 200, operated by Officer McDaid and booked by Lieutenant Holland.

I issued a CMVI to GUEVAREZ for the red light violation and a citation to the vehicle owner for no inspection sticker. Citations were placed in GUEVAREZ’s property bag.
