Luigi Della Peruta was a wonderful person who will be sadly missed here both in Somerville and Medford.

Obituary:

Luigi (Gino or Gigino) Della Peruta, of Somerville, passed away after a brief unexpected illness, on March 26th. Cherished son of the late Domenico and Finella (Giuliano) Della Peruta. Beloved husband of 65 years to Maria (Byron) Della Peruta. Devoted father of Dominic Della Peruta and Joseph Della Peruta. Dear brother of the late Giuseppe Della Peruta and his late wife Maria Teresa, and the late Angelo Della Peruta and his late wife Maria. Devoted son-in-law of the late Tancredi and Maria Byron. Caring brother in-law of Catherine Salinas and her husband John Quigley and the late Alan Salinas, Alexander Byron and his late wife Kay, the late Bruno Bryon, the late Vincenzo Bryon and his late wife Ethel. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Saturday, April 9th from 11:30 to 12:30 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford followed by a funeral service celebrated in the funeral home 12:30 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Luigi’s name to St. Francis Chapel, 800 Boylston St., Suite 1001, Boston, MA 02199.
