The Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee held a hearing on a proposal that would reduce the frequency at which owners of food trucks must renew their business licenses, from annually to every five years.
“I filed this request on behalf of a small business in my district that operates a food truck because the current statute requires operators to apply for annual licenses in every municipality in which they do business,” said sponsor Rep. Alice Peisch (D-Wellesley). “Extending the life of the license to five years will allow these businesses to grow and operate without these onerous annual administrative requirements.”
