Somerville/Medford Remembering Sylvester S. “Steve” Keohane

Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Sylvester S. “Steve” Keohane on his passing.

Sylvester S. “Steve” Keohane was a very nice man who will be sadly missed here in Somerville.

Sylvester S. “Steve” Keohane, of Somerville, passed away on February 12, 2021, he was 77. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Mary (Kazlouski) and Sylvester Keohane.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Barbara (Gallagher) Keohane. Devoted father of Stephen Keohane, Michael Keohane both of Somerville and the late Bryan Keohane. Cherished grandfather of Joey, Micaela, Lyndsey and Andrew Keohane. Dear brother of the late Barbara Kenney and Lenore Yetman.
An honorably discharged veteran of the US Air Force, he went on to earn his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Steve was appointed as a patrolman to the Massachusetts Capitol Police where he severed for many years, ultimately retiring from the Massachusetts State Police.
Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday, Feb. 19th at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Catherine of Genoa Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Calling Hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 18th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Face masks and social distancing protocols are required for all services.
Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
