This past Saturday morning, Somerville Police detectives we scouring Medford Street in Somerville at 4:00AM looking for evidence and spent bullet casing shells.
The shooting took place on Medford Street in Somerville near Daddy Jones Tavern.
One victim was shot in the hand and transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
According to sources at the scene, the shooting was gang related involving victims coming out of an Air B & B party.

It wasn’t on Medford St, it was on Lowell St, between Lowell Terrace and Fisk Ave. It was closer to 4:20am. Probably 9 shots fired, maybe 10. I wasn’t expecting it so I had trouble counting while I was busy soiling my pants, so I’ll agree with the number of casings that the police found.
I’d like to give credit to the Somerville Police for their handling of the immediate aftermath of this incident. Apparently there was a house party going on nearby, which might or might not have involved the shooter or victim. From what I saw the party was disbanded and and the participants were allowed to leave peacefully without being hassled.
Can’t even find a mention of it on Google, Boston Globe …etc Why??
