Pity she only now learned that lesson. When biking, avoid potholes – especially if they’re filled with water and you can’t see how deep they are. This one has a bright orange construction cone in it warning people, so she can’t say it wasn’t obvious. Wonder if she was on her phone.
Bikers have to only go as fast as they can safely do so while paying attention to the road. In my over 50 years of biking I have not had these problems as I am paying attention to where I am going. Same as driving, we have to be going a speed where we can avoid such obstacles. Finding perfect streets for biking is almost impossible. So slow down and pay attention.
