Somerville Police officers received a call of “Shots fired multiple shooting a 5 River Road in Somerville.”The call came in at 10:30 PM this past Thursday night with multiple officers responding.

Cambridge Police Arrest Three & Recover Three Firearms
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 3, 2020 – The Cambridge Police Department today announced that three suspects have been arrested following a late Thursday night shooting in Somerville. Justin Ellcock, 24, Cambridge, Davel Matthew, 23, Cambridge, and Destiny Banks, 23, Cambridge, were arrested after Cambridge Police Officers observed and stopped a vehicle that the Somerville Police were seeking after a shooting occurred in their City. The vehicle was parked on the corner of Davis and Broadway Street in Cambridge and occupied by a driver and two passengers. A stolen, loaded, high capacity firearm was found on the possession of one of the defendants, along with ammunition; two other firearms were located inside the vehicle.
Ellcock will be charged with multiple counts of Carrying a Firearm, multiple counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Possession of Ammunition. Matthews and Banks will be charged with Carrying a Firearm and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.
The investigation of the Somerville shooting and a separate shooting from Thursday night on Harvard Street in Cambridge is ongoing.
