Somerville renters and homeowners can get a free home energy assessment, learn how to conserve energy in their homes, and help out the City all at the same time. A Mass Save Home Energy Assessment helps identify ways to save energy (and money on utility bills), and you may get some free energy saving upgrades like LED light bulbs, programmable thermostats, and smart power strips. Participants might also qualify for rebates for certain home upgrades. As an added bonus, if 230 households complete energy assessments and a cumulative 300 energy upgrades, the City can receive up to $8,700 in grants.
You can learn more about the Mass Save program and how to sign up for an assessment on the City’s website. Also visit the Somerville Energy Efficiency Now website to learn about more resources.
