Somerville Snow Emergecy Lifted

Because someone forgot to show Mother Nature the forecast, the snow emergency will be lifted effective 9:30 a.m. today. Vehicles may remain parked in City lots, but parking meters will go back into effect at 11:30 a.m.
No vehicles were towed for snow last night and any snow emergency tickets will be canceled. Tickets for any other parking offenses will remain and drivers should pay or appeal the ticket by the deadline listed to avoid additional fees.

Property owners are also reminded that sidewalks must be clear of snow and ice within six daylight hours of the end of snowfall. Sidewalks must be cleared to a 3-foot-wide path down to the pavement, and snow may not be shoveled into the street. If you are able, please consider helping neighbors who may need shoveling or other assistance.

Libraries and the rink will remain closed today.

Thank you for your cooperation during this not storm. If you have a non-emergency question, please call 311 (or 617-666-3311 from outside the city).
