The Mystic Valley Area Branch of the NAACP will hold its annual Wine Tasting on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 3:00 PM—7:00 PM at the Winchester Unitarian Society, located at 478 Main Street, Winchester, MA.
This year’s event will focus on helping youth in our communities. Thus, we will be donating a portion of the event proceeds to the Medford Youth Center YMCA (formerly the Boy’s & Girls Club) to help fund their afterschool programs. Due to the success of last year’s event, we were able to contribute to Medford Community Housing Inc. in their fight to place working individuals and families in affordable housing in our community. This year, we hope we will reach even greater success in helping with this after school program, which is in desperate needs of funding.
Each year our local elected officials and influential business leaders within our jurisdiction are invited to attend our Wine Tasting in support of the branch’s fight to enrich the towns within our community: Medford, Arlington, Malden, Everett, Woburn, Winchester, and other surrounding communities. This year, we are emphasizing the Winchester community, who we hope will have a more fruitful relationship with their local NAACP Branch going forward. We continue to grow as a branch through the support of members and the general public who value the work of the NAACP in our community and support our efforts by purchasing tickets or by becoming an event sponsor.
Reserve a spot by mailing a check for $50 per person to the Mystic Valley Area Branch NAACP, P.O. Box 132, Medford, MA 02156 or by contacting Ed Ligon at (617)-680-4571 to purchase a ticket via VENMO or ZELLE.
