Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Mary Murphy on her passing this past Sunday.
Mary Murphy, formally of TF Murphy Florist on Highland Avenue was known for her kindness and for her cheerful smile throughout the city.
She was always a big part of the Somerville Lion’s Club continuously volunteering and helping out over the many years with Somerville Lion’s Club charities.
Mary was a wonderful person with a heart of gold who will be sadly missed here in Somerville.

MARY LOUISE (FAGAN) MURPHY
MURPHY, Mary Louise (Fagan) Age 88, of Tewksbury, formerly of Somerville, passed away Aug. 26, 2018. Mary was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Thomas F. Murphy, Sr., who was the former owner of T.F. Murphy Florist in Somerville. She was the loving mother to Linda and Thomas Studer of Plymouth, Gail and Kevin Scarpone of Billerica, Karen Murphy of Tewksbury, Mary Ellen and Sal Bonomo of Tewksbury, Thomas F. and Sonja Murphy of Woburn, Helen and Serg Sessa of Tewksbury. Mary was a loving Nana to Jason and Divie Studer, Jaclyn Studer, Sarah and Rob Liekweg, Matthew Bonomo, Nicole, Emily and Rachel Sessa. Loving Great Nana of Jocelyn Liekweg, Akhiro, Azumi, and Jasmine Studer. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Hannah (Devine) Fagan. Sister of Lillian Craig, Dorothy Law, and the late Walter, Joseph, Francis, and Arthur Fagan, and twin sister of the late Rose Moran. Sister-in-law of Mary Lou Ryan. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and her caregiver Tauny.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., TEWKSBURY. Her funeral procession will begin on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Dorothy’s Church, cor. of Main & Harnden Sts., Rte. 38, Wilmington. Interment at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
