Real Life Somerville Police Stories: Jose OVIEDO (VCO Open Container)

The following is a summary of the facts pertaining to incident# 18050402:

On August 23, 2018, at approximately 2315 hours, I, Ofc. Jean-Jacques (W7), was dispatched to 1145 Broadway for a drunk person in the middle of Broadway. Upon arrival, I saw a person heading down Holland street towards Davis Square. I drove down towards Elmwood at Holland where I encountered this male party. The male party, later identified to me as Jose Oviedo, had an open beer can in one hand opened and a case of beers in the other hand. When I exited my cruiser, he threw the open beer behind his back and continued walking with the case of beer. I placed him under arrest for open container (alcohol) in the city of Somerville. He was later transported by Ofc. Desrochers via 200 (the wagon) to the Somerville Police Department. He was then booked by Lt. DeOliveira at the station on the charge of VCO open container.

Respectfully Submitted,

Yvon Jean-Jacques Jr #281
