Somerville Annual Spring Clean-Up & Earth Day Barbeque

This past Saturday April 21 dozens of volunteers participated and enjoyed a day at the 2018 Somerville Annual Spring Clean-Up & Earth Day Barbeque at the Blessing of the Bays Boathouse on Shore Drive in Somerville.

The volunteers celebrated Earth Day with the City of Somerville, Groundwork Somerville, and Comcast Cares for the annual Spring Cleanup who afterwards joined neighbors the festivities at the Community Barbeque for food, fun, and information about electric vehicles, renewable energy, climate change, biking, and other City of Somerville sustainability programs.

Prior the cleanup there was also a breakfast from 9-10am, then the neighborhood clean-up was from 10am-12pm, and the Barbeque was from 12 -2pm.

This event was part of SustainaVille week.
